Indiana Pacers v. Utah Jazz

I spent my weekend in Indiana with my younger brother, Dusty, and his family.  Friday night we had floor tickets to the Pacers v. Jazz game.  While I am not really a “fan” of either team, the chance to sit on the floor was so much fun!!!  Prior to the game we got to go to a dinner where Larry Bird spoke to us.  That was really neat too!  Dusty’s friend who got the tickets also gave me a book by Larry Bird and Magic Johnson and a signed Tyler Hansbrough jersey.  During the game, when Gordon Hayward, from the Jazz, came in the first time the crowd went wild.  Seriously, I have been to a lot of professional sports games and I’ve never heard anything like it.  Apparently Hayward is from Indiana and played college ball there, and even though he was playing for the Jazz, his people LOVE him.

Pre-game dinner.

Here’s a little video from our seats.

Here are my shoes in comparison to the floor… soooo close!  The white line is where the court starts.

Warming up.  This was actually really entertaining to watch, because the Pacers really sucked during the game.

So, the Pacers apparently get their name from the pace cars used in the Indianapolis 500.  This made me wonder what their mascot would be.  Meet Boomer!
