Alive with Lava

For our FHE activity this past Monday we decided to make our own lava lamps.  We all thought it was fun to watch how the bubbles and food coloring responded to the oil, water and antacids. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

New Friends

Dylan and Avery have made some new friends, Ryan and Lindsay. Ryan and Dylan are close in age as are Lindsay and Avery. They have many of the same interests and enjoy playing together. Today, Ryan and Lindsay were able to come and play at our house for a couple of hours. The kids had tons of fun, doing all different sorts of activities..... like playing with toys and playing Wii...

... a dead bug in the sliding door track. Why do I even bother!

The Snowman Diet

The poor snowmen (and snowwomen) in Taylorsville, Utah have found that due to lack of snow they have had to diet. I admit though, I have appreciated our rather mild winter.

Gingerectomy

Mandy planned a fabulous Girls' Night in honor of my hysterectomy. Friends gathered as we ate delicious Italian food at Spaghetti Mamas and laughed at the romantic comedy 'When In Rome.' One of the highlights of the evening was the witty, creative, bakings skills of Mary as she presented each of the evenings attendees with a gift, a Gingerectomy Girl. Thanks ladies for a fun night out!

She's No Van Gough

Within minutes Avery created a work of art. Perhaps more interpretive than others might appreciate, but a masterpiece nonetheless. What could be more beautiful than using herself as the subject, brush, canvas, etc.?
