February, March & April…In a Nutshell

I celebrated my 37th birthday in February!!!  I am definitely older, not sure about wiser!

We had a fun Easter celebration in March.  The kids did our traditional Easter egg hunt around the house and got new church clothes.

Avery turned 5 on April 2.  A few days before, we had a My Little Pony birthday party for her!!

Avery is an amazing little girl.  She loves My Little Ponies, Legos, horses and playing with Dylan.  She is very spirited and currently involved in both dance and soccer.

The kids colored pictures, jumped on the trampoline, ate lunch, decorated egg shaped cookies, played Pin the Tail on Princess Celestia (thanks, Kaeli, for sharing your awesome drawing skills) and created chaos, but had fun!!  Thirteen kids age 7 and under, make for a lot of noise.  I was grateful for Nathan’s and my mom’s help!!

I love this girl!  Avery can be very emotional and a bit dramatic at times, but I know if I ever need a hug or someone to cuddle with, she’s always there.  I love when she calls to me from another room, just to tell me she loves me!  Happy Birthday, Avery!!!

Oh, we also went to Texas Roadhouse on her birthday.  I think it is funny that my kids both consider that their favorite restaurant!!

January… In a Nutshell

Nathan and I celebrated our 8th anniversary!!  We were able to go away overnight (thanks Dad & Mom) and enjoy some time alone.  We continue to have our ups and downs, but love learning and growing together. 

Avery was involved in Mini Cheer at Taylorsville High School.  One of my young women is a cheer leader there and was her coach.  Thanks, Savannah, Avery had a great time and is looking forward to next year!!

Dylan had his first trip to the ER.  He got a stomach virus and try as I might, I could not keep him hydrated!  It was a long night for both of us.  The next night though, he asked if he could go back to the ER because he felt so much better after.  I assured him he was fine and after about a week, he was back to himself!
