Fun Days at School

Earlier in the school year, Truman Elementary had Silly Sock Day and Crazy Hair Day.  Dylan loved participating and looked forward to both days!!  I love that his idea of Silly Socks was one black church sock and one regular sock!

Soccer, Fall 2012

These pictures are from their second game of the season.  I forgot my camera the first game and while I used my phone, I still don’t know how to get my pictures from my phone to my computer to blog them.  I will learn… someday!!

Harvesting the Garden

Corn has by far been my favorite thing from the garden.  We had a lot and even got to share some with our friends, the Wells, one evening for dinner.  Yummy!

We didn’t thin out our carrots enough, so we had some, but they weren’t very big.  Our tomatoes are finally growing, thus far we’ve had only one…quite small, but tasty!  Also, broccoli.  I don’t know if we did something wrong, but for the size of the plants, they didn’t yield a whole lot.  What we did get was good though!

I am glad we decided to have a garden.  We learned a lot and will have more success next year.  I am looking forward to it!

Home Depot in August

Nathan took Dylan and Avery to Home Depot on August 4.  He was solo this time, as I had to help clean the church building with the youth.  The theme of this craft was The Lorax and the kids made cork boards.
