Our Christmas Eve

We spend each Christmas eve with my family, at my parents’ house.  We have a wonderful dinner, act out the story of the birth of our Savior, and then open gifts.  Then Christmas morning my mom has a delicious breakfast, though this year we were unable to attend…so sad.

#6 Birthday Party

First off, my dad made the cutest invitations for the party. I knew he was the perfect person to ask. Thanks, Dad!!!

Dylan’s party was earlier today.  Of course, there were a ton of pictures taken, but I will try to keep it to a minimum and only post the highlights.

We started with a game that I don’t know the name of.  My friend, Jenni, told me about it.  The kids had a blast.  You’ll get the idea when you see the pictures.

When the game was over and the kids were eating lunch, my dad noticed that because of all of the static electricity, the balloons would stick to the ceiling.  The kids thought that was, “AWESOME!”

We also played, ‘Tape the Tie on Dylan.’  I traced Dylan on a big piece of paper and he and Avery colored it (the day before).  Everyone thought this was super silly.  They each colored their tie before we played the game.

We also decorated cupcakes and then sang to Dylan.

Happy 6th Birthday, Dylan!!!

Yes, my baby boy is 6.  Dylan is such a great son.  He is loving and very thoughtful.  I appreciate that he is always so willing to help around the house and do his chores willingly.  Star Wars remains one of is all time favorite things, along with Transformers, playing the Wii and playing with his friends.  Dylan is a wonderful big brother to Avery and he is constantly making her laugh.  He always includes her in what he is doing.  So far he is really enjoying school and is doing well.  Happy #6, Dylan.  I love you!!

Sing, Sing, Sing

The last two days I have had the opportunity to go to Avery’s and then Dylan’s Christmas performances at school.  Tuesday morning, along with my parents, we went to Avery’s at the West Jordan Library.  Dylan’s sing-a-long with the parents was actually at the exact same time on Tuesday, so I snuck into the school sing-a-long on Wednesday to see him.  They both did a great job!
