Friday Festivities

Last night we had a fun-filled night.  We began by going to Avery’s Christmas performance at the Valley Fair Mall.  She loves to sing and has spent the last 6 weeks practicing her songs at the top of her lungs in the car, on the phone, around the house, anywhere someone will listen.  She did a great job!

Then, we went to Red Robin to celebrate Nathan’s birthday and Dylan’s birthday (a little early).

While there, Avery decided to clean her face with her tongue, and show off being able to touch her nose with her tongue.  What talent!

Happy Birthday!!!

Thirty years ago today, a bouncing, baby, boy was born.  Twenty-three years and 6 weeks later, I married him.

Today, Nathan is an amazing husband and father.  He has worked hard to become one of the top BMW technicians in the western region.  His talents extend to fixing more than just cars, as he has done many things to improve our house and make it a home.  I daily am reminded of the extraordinary man I married and have the privilege to call not only my husband, but best friend.  Happy #30 Birthday, Nathan!  I love you!!

The Graces

Earlier today we went to see The Graces perform.  They are an all girl choir from Taylorsville High School.  Two of the Laurels from our ward are in the choir, which is very difficult to get into.  They performed at the Joseph Smith Building at Temple Square.

I took a few pictures of the kids before the performance and one during, with their friends.  I love how Avery’s personality always shines bright in pictures.

Here are a couple of videos of the girls performing, and then the combined choir.  One of our young men is in the combined choir.

Elves at Gardner Village

Today, I took the kids to Gardner Village to find the elves.  Online you could print out a list of elves for them to find and once they found them all, they got a treat from one of the candy shops.  They had a great time!!

These two elves were my favorite!!  Probably not hard to guess why!

Avery’s Latest Passion

Avery has decided she loves to cook, especially scrambled eggs (which is one of her favorite things to eat).  I wish she had a better teacher to guide her love of cooking, but I will have to do!!

Cooking Time

Yes, I am ALWAYS very CLOSE by…sometimes too close, according to Avery.

I Finally Did Get A Tree

Nathan, the kids and I, finally did get the tree up.  It took two nights and lots of me letting go of my control of perfectly placed ornaments, but it turned out fabulous!!

Please forgive the second to last picture.  I wanted to get the effect with the lights, but didn’t have a tripod.

Sense of Humor

Saturday, I asked Nathan to put up the Christmas tree.  When I came in the room, this is what I found!  I love that my husband can always make me laugh!!!
