Hex Girl
While we were vacationing in California, Nathan recorded Avery singing this song. She’s saying, “I’m a Hex Girl, and I’m gonna put a spell on you.” This is from Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated.

Christmas Party???
On your marks…
Get set…
Go…
…and the Nerf Gun War of all Nerf Gun Wars was played. Last night we had our primary kids over for a very non-traditional Christmas party. For three hours they ran around and shot each other, enjoying every minute of it. Their Christmas present was a Nerf gun for each of them and plenty (200 total) of darts to last the entire evening. We only had half of the kids from our class there, and missed those who couldn’t make it. At 9:30pm they convinced me to join, and I became a prime target, but I valiantly fought back. It is a night I will always treasure.

December Birthdays
Sunday we celebrated Nick, Nathan and Dylan’s birthdays. Dylan chose a Ben 10 Alien Force cake and we added the age appropriate candles of 14, 29 and 5. It was a fun evening. December is a very busy month for birthdays, in addition to these three, our niece, Charlotte, Grandpa Baker, and our friend Makenzie shares her birthday with Dylan (and Joseph Smith).

Pumpkin Pancakes
Keeping a tasty tradition alive! Though we are not positive, Cindy (aka Lou) and I believe this is the 10th year of our tradition. While we may not always get to enjoy the breakfast together, or even in the same state, it is a tradition we treasure and have shared with others through the years. We were excited to have it this year with our good friend, Heather, and my cute family. If you haven’t had them, stop by your local Mimi’s CafĂ©, during the month of November, to enjoy some tasty pumpkin pancakes of your own.
Day After Thanksgiving Dinner
We had a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at Nathan’s parents’ on Friday. Sharon and Bob hosted a wonderful dinner. Shannon and Crystal each brought a tasty side dish and dessert as well. I lucked out with rolls, seeing as we were on vacation. Nathan had requested a deep fried turkey, so he and Bob made it happen.
