The helmet is on

and the training wheels are off.  The other night we decided Dylan was ready to learn to ride his bike without training wheels.  He actually did really well, but as soon as he realized he wasn’t being held on to, he would hit the brakes and fall off.  Silly kid!  I snapped a few pictures, including Nathan feeling the need to show Dylan how to ride his bike.  This was Thursday night and I practiced with him a little today and as long as I hold on to get him started pedaling, he does great!  He just needs to build his confidence more.  I admit a little tear or two fell as I realized how grown up Dylan is.

HELP!!!

First, I want to thank Cammie for all of her help in making my blog more aesthetically pleasing.  However, in my attempt to make a 3-column blog, which I love, I cannot figure out how to get more of the background picture to show on the sides.  blob-pulling-hair-out-in-desperation-clipart Believe me, I have spent more time than I should looking into this and reading about it.  If you know how to fix this problem, pleeeeeeaaaase help!

…use only swimming diapers when swimming or swelling may occur.

Avery Water Bum

California Cousins

We got to visit yesterday with Nathan’s brother, Andre’s wife, Shannon, and their kids Charlotte, Jack and Weston.  We haven’t seen them since November of last year and were excited for the visit.  Unfortunately, I was never able to get a picture of all of the kids together, but got some of the cute California cousins!!

DID YOU KNOW???

I HAVE THE MOST AMAZING HUSBAND IN THE WORLD.  HE CAME HOME LAST NIGHT WITH THESE BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS FOR ME, NO PARTICULAR REASON, JUST BECAUSE HE LOVES ME.

We Love the Zoo…

…especially when we get to go with The Wells.  The rides and animals all remain the same, but the company is extra special, and extra rambunctious when there are seven kids total.  We had a great day and made many happy memories.  First, of course, was the train.

Then, the playground.  That’s a new one for us.

Poor Ryan was almost eaten by a very large snake.

The kids loved the mist blowers and water ball to help keep cool.

Then ended the day playing at the mist spraying elephant.

On our way out, as Jenni and I filled the water bottles (again), Bekah and Kiersten had an unusual way of watching the kids for us.

DSC_0042Finally, Dylan got a hold of my camera and took another wonderful picture, this time of Adam.

DSC_0035THANKS, WELLS FAMILY, FOR A WONDERFUL DAY AT THE ZOO!!!
