When Grams was here, we were shopping and discovered that we could get a girls size shirt for Avery and use it as a dress. This is what we picked up, and it worked great! Also, continue to check out the slideshow of Avery, “THE MANY FACES AND LOOKS OF AVERY,” as I update it on occasion.

Continuing Fashions By Avery
A Week (or so) In Review
Avery has had a terrible cough for I don’t even know how long now. She’s finally decided she enjoys her breathing medicine and does it herself. The kids continue to enjoy the company of their favorite friends, Ryan and Lindsey. This week I found four little monkeys jumping on my bed and was grateful the rest of it did not come true!
The weather is still questionable. We never know if we are going to wake up to rain, sunshine, and recently even snow. However, whenever we do have a warm day, the kids love watering and eating outside on their table from Nana and Bumpa.
Finally, we got a trampoline for the kids. We just picked it up today and have already had our fair share of bumps and what will soon be bruises.
We are loving it and Nathan did a great job putting it together.

Primary Class Party
On Saturday, the 15th, we had a primary class BBQ for our 11 and 12 year-olds. It was tons of fun, at least I thought so, and the kids seemed to as well. They started off with a water balloon fight. It lasted maybe 10 minutes but took me much longer to blow them all up! Once the balloons were all gone, they went to water guns and hoses. There wasn’t a dry kid in the house. The girls then did some sun bathing before dinner.
Thank you Nathan and Bob for manning the grill! Next, just when you thought everyone had dried out some, dinner was followed by extreme head dunking, which I hadn’t planned. We ended the night with dessert and took them all home, hopefully more tired than hyped up on sugar.
Once the kids were all safely home, Nathan killed the ants that had come to crash our party, in a very Nathan-like way.

Papa Eddie to the Rescue
While Grams was out of town visiting family, Papa Eddie came up for another visit and more help on the never-ending projects around our home. He textured our walls in the laundry/cold storage (even helping leave fun hand prints), put together a picnic table, hung rain gutters and generally gave Nathan good advice on things and improvements we could do. The kids loved spending time with him and helping any way they could. Thanks!
Look closely and you’ll see hand prints!
Papa Eddie had lots of help putting the table together.
At one point a screw was lost and it was Dylan to the rescue. He bravely crawled under the deck and retrieved it!
Mommy watched in horror as Daddy and Papa Eddie let Dylan on the roof too. Yikes! Dylan felt like such a big boy and loved it.
Family Home Evening Fun
We love Spring, when it chooses to have nice weather. On Monday for FHE we got to eat outside for dinner, which was really nice. Then Nathan played with the kids while I set up for our activity. We made monsters by blowing paint on cardstock.
It ended up that Nathan and I did most of the blowing to create the monsters, but Dylan and Avery loved putting the eyeballs on, as you can see.
We concluded our night with Nathan and I putting up shelves. The arrangement of pictures is a work in progress, but I think they look nice. I love our Family Home Evenings!

Dylan Driving!?!
The other night, Dylan took his first solo ride on Frank. He was sooooo excited, but got a little scared when Daddy made Frank go faster.
BIG BUMP
The other night Avery was running around after Dylan with her hands in in her pockets. Well, she tripped and didn’t have time to pull her hands out before landing right on her head. Thus, the Big Bump was born and Avery tells everyone about it. Ouch!
