Soccer is here Again

Dylan had his first game a few weeks back.  I’m just really that bad at blogging lately.  He isn’t a huge fan of the sport, but is going to be a team player and finish the season.  I am very proud of him!

Here are a few pictures from the first game!  Go Green Giants!!

Homemaking Relay Races

About a month ago I was called as the Young Women President in my ward.  As our first “official” activity, we had Homemaking Relay Races.  I learned that, without a doubt, I have the most amazing leaders to work with and am very grateful for their many strengths and willingness to serve.  We had six different races.

We did all of this while having them go up and down the stairs between each relay.  They appeared to enjoy themselves and maybe even learn a little something!

Arts & Crafts

To pass off the Divine Nature, Personal Progress project, two of my Laurels came over on Saturday to do an art project.  They found the idea on pinterest and we tried it out.  I think they all turned out wonderful.  We made a bit of a mess until we learned how to control the melting crayon and not have it splatter all over.  I like the bright colors the girls used better than my darker colors (displayed by Avery).

Priceless

We bought a large clothes dryer in hopes of cutting down on some costs by not using our dryer.  My mom saves $15 a month using her clothes dryer.  Anyhow, what was most fun about getting it, was that the kids spent hours playing with the box.  They made a house, a ramp to slide down, and all sorts of other things out of it.  It was truly, priceless!

Decorating 101

The other night, Nathan and I were watching a movie in our room and the kids were busy in their room.  The next morning (I had an invitation the night before but had fallen asleep), the kids invited me to see their decorations.  I thought they had done such a cute job of making their room, more their own.  Apparently, I need to get them access to more things to decorate with, though.

Late Beginners….

… at least that’s what my piano book says.  If you didn’t catch it in one of my previous posts, I started taking piano lessons January 18.  I have loved every minute of it, though admit that during practice time, some of those minutes have been far more frustrating than others.  I have THE BEST teacher ever and she is super patient with me and gets so excited and that makes me excited.  I hope to one day have her love of music.  So, in honor of me playing, and my husband having wanted one since the day we got married, we bought a piano.  It needs some work, outside and in, but I love it.  Obviously, we are in need of a piano bench too, which Nathan plans on just making one.  I never realized how much I would enjoy having music in our home.

March Madness

So, March has finally brought some snow to Utah.  The kids were so excited and went outside, with Chloe, to have some fun.

Saturday, Nathan decided to build a track in the snow for his RC car.  He even invited Aaron Wells over to run his RC truck on the track as well.  Then, there was a snowball fight!  We are grateful to finally have some fun in the snow!
