Allow me to preface this by saying, I had no say in what the kids chose. I was, however, thrilled that their costumes coordinated. Allow me to introduce Bumblebee and Optimus Prime.

We decorated our pumpkins a few days after we picked them out. The kids always love choosing which character they are going to be. Although, if I remember correctly, they chose the same as last year.
We had a Halloween party over UEA weekend. The kids had lots of fun making skeletons out of macaroni (thanks, Jenna for all of your macaroni), eating and just being rambunctious!!
This is Avery’s. She said her pumpkin exploded!! She makes me giggle!!!

We went to Mabey’s Pumpkin Patch to get our pumpkins. I love this now family tradition. The Mabey’s are the kindest people and I love our quick visit with them each year. Nathan got a really big pumpkin to be used to blow up with an airbag at the annual Smith Family Pumpkin Shoot!!
This month we read a wonderful book. The book honestly changed the way I look at life and serving others. I have been trying to apply the principles it teaches, and always remember that “love is a verb.”
We have decorated for Halloween and attended our first (of hopefully many) Halloween parties.
The kids LOVE the light up “villages” we have for Halloween. Nathan with his ‘super Dad strength’ gave them, and Chloe, a closer look.
Each year the company we financed our home through has a “Pumpkin Fest.” This has been the first year we have been able to attend. Nathan was still at work, so I took the kids and they had a great time.
Still so many fun Halloween things to come!!!
