Those Sweet Moments

Yesterday I came downstairs and there was Nathan sitting on the floor with Avery and playing with Lincoln Logs.  It melted my heart, I thought it was so cute!

Taking a Break

Nathan needed to take a break from working on his garage on Saturday and decided to blow up another airbag.  Here are the results (you may have to click to enlarge the pictures) and a few shots of the garage and all of the work Nathan and his dad got done.

THE ZOO….

… this time with Grams and Papa Eddie.  The kids have been looking forward to going to the zoo with Nathan’s parents for quite some time and last Friday, the day finally came.  We were there for almost three hours, without a stroller, and the kids did pretty good.  Here are some of the highlights.

We must always stop and play with the elephant that sneezes on you!

Naturally, you stop at the elephants next.

We even got to catch Zuri taking a drink, which was cute.

Grams and Dylan stopped and checked out the rhinos.  This one seemed to have a major drooling issue.

We stopped and rode the carousel.

Even though it was freezing out, the kids wanted to stop for an ice cream.  Avery caught a picture of Papa Eddie finishing hers.

Sharon was looking forward to the giraffes.  We caught this one give this pole a good cleaning.

Next, reptiles.  I know a bird is not a reptile, but I thought it was pretty.

A few more stops and a train ride ended our day.  But, I to end I have to include my favorite picture of the day!

Making Candy Necklaces

Grams and Papa Eddie bought some Halloween candy necklaces for the kids to make.  They had a good time making them and I was impressed with how well Dylan and Avery were able to thread the candy onto the string.  Avery loved eating her candy necklaces but Dylan thought his were “disgusting.”

Skeletons & Spiders

For Monday night fun we made skeletons out of paper plates and string and candy spiders (or stybers, as Avery once called them).  It was tons of fun and kept the kids entertained for a long time.  Thanks Bob and Sharon for the fun crafts!!

IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR

I love this time of year when the mornings are cool and you need hot chocolate to warm up and the kids wear footed pajamas to keep warm.

Dylan’s Preschool Update

Dylan has completed his first full month of preschool.  Preschool PolicemanWhile he struggles a little with getting put on “the bench” for various reasons (mostly talking), he loves going and loves Miss Karen.   During September his class reviewed the letters A, B and C and the numbers 1, 2 and 3.  They also worked a lot with the color, brown.

 Preschool Doctor

They learned about dentists, police officers, and doctors.  Dylan has made a significant improvement in his writing so far.   He also started speech school this month, which he goes to once a week, to concentrate on slowing his speech and his pronunciation of the “c” and “g” sounds.

Where in the U.S. have the Edwards visited?
