What happens when you get 5 of the girls from our primary class together, plus one adopted Beehive from our ward?… a whole lot of fun and laughing. We had another class party last night, but none of the boys showed up, so we partied girl style. The girls played in the water, jumped on the trampoline, did fashion shows both in their bathing suits and Dylan and Avery’s old Halloween costumes (we even took a walk in the costumes), ate dinner, did some more walking,
and ended the night with heart-attacking the bishopric members houses. Wow, these girls have a lot of energy and I was tired after I had finally dropped them all home. Tons of fun though, and I’m grateful I have the opportunity to teach such a great group of girls (and our boys too)! Highlights of the evening follow…

CHLOE’S FIRST BATH
Nathan gave Chloe her first bath last night. She was not enjoying it at first, but eventually relaxed and allowed Nathan to finish. Good girl, Chloe!!
Nathan’s “Day Off”
Nathan had the 5th of July off in honor of the 4th of July. However, it was hardly a day off. He spent most of the day rerouting the sprinklers in our backyard so that more of the grass was watered and less of the deck and house. I love my husband so much and appreciate all of his hard work.
He did take a break for awhile and play with the kids on the slip n’ slide. That was really fun to watch!
3rd of July Celebration
With the 4th being on Sunday this year, we celebrated the 4th of July on Saturday, the 3rd. We had a BBQ and fireworks with the Wells Family and Makenzie. Below are some cute pictures of the kids waiting for Nathan to light off the fireworks. We let Makenzie, Kiersten and Bekah light and throw bloom-flowers, which they thought was really fun.
Avery the Puppy
Avery loves to pretend she is a puppy. She has always enjoyed barking and licking things. With the recent addition of Chloe to our family, she has developed some more “puppy like” qualities.
Avery enjoyed eating Chloe’s dog treat. She even asked for more.
She also loves laying down and sleeping next to Chloe.
Hogle Zoo
Friday we went to Hogle Zoo. Makenzie came with us and we learned she is quite the expert on all things zoo.
She was a fabulous tour guide, full of interesting facts and information. We saw lots of animals (which is to be expected at a zoo) and rode the train and carousel.
Makenzie was excited to see a new exhibit called ‘Natures Nightmares,’ which was really neat.
I’ve also included some pictures of our favorite animals. It was a fun day at the zoo! We bought a season pass, so anticipate going there often!
