When Grandma and Grandpa Edwards came for Avery’s birthday party, we were able to take a current 4 generation picture. From left to right: Grandpa, Papa Eddie, Daddy and Dylan. I think it is neat that they are all able to spend time together.

It’s My Party, And I’ll Cry If I Want To
Everyone, but Avery, seemed to enjoy the small get together we had for her birthday. She was not having a good day. She did not enjoy singing Happy Birthday or eating birthday cake (which she had been talking about for weeks).
We were able to find a few things she enjoyed. She loved her balloons and opening her gifts (she got lots of fun things).
At the end of the day, and after a nap, we found some smiles, and enjoyed another opportunity to celebrate our 2-year-old!

Those Moments
The other day I heard Avery crying and went to the doors to see what was happening outside. When I got there I saw Dylan sitting on the deck with Avery and hugging her. I immediately grabbed my camera. Although I did miss capturing the hug, I did get him kissing her hand to make it better. I admit, I got a little tear!
What Happens When…
…Avery finds a partially used Carmex in the car? Well, she rubs it all over her face and hair, then cries when you tell her she needs a bath to wash if off. Avery’s face is usually not so shiny!
Meet Frank (our newest family member)
This is Frank, named after the famous Frank from the movie ‘Cars’. Nathan “rescued” Frank from work. After a few months of hard work, Nathan brought Frank home for the first time. I was skeptical at first, but the kids loved him right away. Nathan has given Frank some “bling” and enjoys riding him around the backyard. Nathan looks forward to giving Frank a few more upgrades to make him like new!
Welcome to the family, Frank!

AVERY IS 2
Our little girl is growing up.
On Friday we began our celebration of Avery’s birthday. The family went to Leatherby’s for dinner and had a great time. Avery’s favorite part of the whole evening was the carafe of water that had tons of ice for her to play in. They also sang to her and she got ice cream. Then we went home and she opened some of her gifts.
Finally, on Sunday we celebrated with extended family. Avery got a handmade hat from Auntie Jennie and just loves it.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AVERY, WE LOVE YOU!!!
